The Getty initiative Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A. 1945 – 1980, and it's myriad events and shows across the city, gets into full swing in a couple of weeks so I'll be posting about many of them. Our friends over at JF Chen are up first:
Their exhibition, Collecting Eames, the JF Chen Collection, will feature over 425 pieces, including a transistor radio, iconic chair and shelving designs, and the IBM Pavilion. The show is being organized in conjunction with the launch of their new book, Collecting Eames, The JF Chen Collection, a collaborative effort with the Eames Office, and due out in October.
